Welcome to Our Company

We are a family-owned company in beautiful Central Oregon.  My name is Patty Ferry, and I am the QuickBooks consultant and bookkeeper.  My husband Mike also owns the company but basically provides support to me.  We started operations in 2006, and have been steadily growing since that small beginning.

I have worked in the accounting field since 1992, for a variety of companies including government, non-profit, and medical.  I also worked for a short time as a computer trainer/mentor.

In 2005 I realized that I wasn’t using all my skills or reaching my potential and that I never would as an employee of someone else.  With the encouragement of a local CPA, I gathered my courage and created my own bookkeeping company on January 1, 2006.

I continued to work as an employee for 10 months while I worked to get my business off the ground.  In September I decided that my business couldn’t grow any larger while I was working full-time, so I took the plunge and gave my notice to my employer.  It was a scary decision, but I knew I was doing the right thing.  My family was a huge support during this difficult transition time.  From that point my business has steadily grown.  My clients have also been a great source of encouragement to me.

My love of accounting and computers has been a real asset to my business.  I have further honed my skills by becoming a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor in 2006 and an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor in 2008.  I am also proficient in many computer software programs, including Word and Excel, and have helped several of my clients with spreadsheets.

My biggest satisfaction comes in helping my clients.  When I see the lights come on in someone’s eyes and they become excited about what they just learned, I know I am making a difference.  When I see a look of relief in someone’s eyes when they know that their books are in good hands, I feel good about what I am doing.  I know that starting this business was a great decision.
